Day1: Morocco!
First impression: the breeze outside the airport smells SO clean. Welcome to Africa!
As the DH (dear husband) battles immigration, 1+ 3 Youngs embark on an hour drive south to Mazagan Resort with a terrified looking driver and 9 pieces of luggage.
Boy #2 (the one that loves bugs) thinks we're at the zoo because there are so many animals in the pastures next to the highway, next to the side of the road, on the side of the road,... and on the road. "Look Mom, a donkey" repeatedly, got stale after about 4 kilometers when it was decided that just about everyone in Morocco has a donkey.
This happened just around the time I realized that lots of Moroccans have REALLY nice cars. Minus the vibrant, cultivated patches of farmland & small motorbikes balancing numerous skinny people, I could've been in Downtown Houston.
If this is the least beautiful part of Morocco then we're going to have no problem discovering spectacular. This is God's country and I look forward to discovering what He has to offer.
[Disclaimer: I've never written a blog. I've never wanted to. BUT, 10 minutes ago I decided that I will never be able to write everyone I want to know better and love what we're being fortunate enough to experience. If you read this, thank you for not making me repeat myself.]

ReplyDeleteHow exciting! I'm glad to hear of your latest adventures! Those boys sure are looking grown up...
ReplyDeleteOkay I just took a few minutes from my crazy schedule to see what you are up to. As I call Mr. Fluffypants, DH (not dear husband, think profanity), I was somewhat confused until I hit this first blog. I guess I should start from the beginning. It sounds wonderful and you are a pro already; just like I knew you'd be. I have a presentation to finish and class tonight, but I will follow your blog and comment as much as possible. Love to you, DH, and all 3 boys!
